This was the song I sent last summer, and was my first "official" release ever, so it's kind of my firstborn child in a way, so I wanted to include it; plus, the rest of the tracks are mostly raw black metal, but as a dungeon synth enthusiast, I wanted to add that as well. Initially, the idea was that the song is kind of a narration in a dark fantasy world, with imagery of huge forests in the cold winter, and it was talking about a kingdom's army forced to battle, even though nobody wanted to because they knew they'd end up killed either at the hands of their enemies or by the harsh weather. As such, those lyrics didn't come to fruition because the vocals weren't good, but that's where the title comes from. To symbolize a kingdom's infantry crawling from poor conditions to serve their cruel ruler. I also like to imagine it makes for good background music when playing games like World of Warcraft, but I have yet to try because I'm waiting for Blizzard Entertainment to get their shit together.

Maybe I’m a little slow for not fully understanding what “bit crush doom” is, but I know a good heavy riff when I hear one. There’s plenty of that here on the debut release from One Eyed Ancestor, listed as an EP but with the runtime of a full-length album.
